Neighborhood
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors (no chain restaurants here!). Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch. But Portland isn't just for foodies. Hawthorne boasts a vibrant indie spirit, with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.

Good to know
The home itself has a modern cool vibe to it. The home is spacious and relaxed, with large windows allowing plenty of natural light and an unbelievable mattresses to sleep on. Those rainy days are perfect for cuddling up and watching movies from your bed on the 48" LED flat-screen Smart TV. We have access to Netflix, and incredibly fast WiFi for other streaming. If you feel like eating in, there's a fully equipped kitchen that is all yours to whip up something delicious. After spending the day walking, shopping, and eating, you'll love coming home to a super comfy queen-size bed. My apartment has heating so you can stay warm in the winter, but currently does not have A/C for the winter. This unit is located in the basement with a private entrance. I do my best to minimize any noise from other guests. Please note that there are often guests above. All guests are expected to follow rules for Quiet Hours. If for whatever reason guests are not following the rules, they may be subject to additional charge.
Other Details to Note
